Tomato Alfredo Sauce

  •  1/2 C (1 stick) of butter 
  •  1 C heavy whipping cream
  •  1 tsp Garlic powder
  •  1 TBS fresh parsley, chopped
  •  1 tsp salt
  •  1 tsp pepper
  •  1 15 oz. can of tomato sauce
  •  2/3 C fresh grated Parmesan
In a medium saucepan, melt butter, then stir in heavy cream. 
Season with garlic powder, parsley, salt and pepper. 
Simmer for 20-30 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick. 
Add tomato sauce and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Remove from heat.
 Stir in Parmesan cheese and serve over pasta.
