This recipe originally came from Grandma Bonnie, who gave it to Jay, who made it when he and I were dating. It was then that I fell in love with the dish. (And Jay too of course. Who doesn't love a man that can cook?)
*6-8 servings
2 lbs ground beef
1 box chopped spinach (thawed and drained)
1 can cream or celery soup diluted with 1 can of water
1 pt. sour cream
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 C raw minute rice
1 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion flakes
1 C grated jack/chedder cheese
Brown meat with garlic powder and onion flakes. Mix thawed spinach and other ingredients in a bowl. Pour into buttered 9 x 13 casserole pan. Cover with cheese. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
