Rosemary Dinner Rolls


Makes 12 rolls
  • 2 3/4 C flour
  • 2 TBS sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 C water
  • 7/8 C milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 C butter
  • 1/4 C butter
  • 2 TBS fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
Turn on oven to 200 degrees. Turn off after 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a large glass (oven-safe) bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, yeast, water, milk, egg, and 1/4 cup of butter.
Cover the bowl and place in warm oven.
Leave the dough in the oven for at least one hour to rise.
Remove dough from oven, knead, then shape into 12 balls.
Place rolls on a baking sheet.
Spread 1/4 cup of butter, then sprinkle salt and fresh rosemary on each roll.
Cover and let rise for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until rolls are golden.
